Ovarian Cancer Action's focus is to improve the prognosis of all women diagnosed with ovarian cancer and we aim to transform ovarian cancer treatment and improve survival through creating a research environment that encourages scientific breakthrough; this is why we felt that it was vital to establish the UK’s first research centre dedicated solely to ovarian cancer.
Our passion is to reach every woman and GP in the UK with key messages about ovarian cancer and its symptoms. This, we feel, will contribute to ensuring that a greater proportion of women are diagnosed as early as possible giving women a greater chance of survival.

We established the UK’s first and only research centre dedicated to ovarian cancer in 2006, in partnership with Imperial College London and the Institute of Cancer Research creating a world-class centre of excellence with over 80 scientists investigating ovarian cancer - the largest concentration of ovarian cancer specialists in Europe. Our aim is to improve understanding of all aspects of ovarian cancer: to prevent it, diagnose it earlier and more accurately and develop treatments to improve survival and quality of life for all women.

Ovacome's ovarian cancer symptom tracker

Ovacome has teamed with Health Unlocked and Macmillan Cancer Support to create a unique way of raising awareness of the early signs of ovarian cancer.  If you have BEAT symptoms (as above), the tracker generates a report that can help your doctor decide if tests or scans are necessary.  It makes it easier for doctors to understand your symptoms and what might be causing them.  Track your symptoms with the BEAT tracker here.
